Behavior Question

These questions are categorized based on Amazon Leadership Principle, it can also applies to many other companies too

CUSTOMER OBSESSION:

  • Walk us through a time when you helped a customer through a difficult process and what that looked like.
  • Who was the most difficult customer you ever deal with? What did you do to make the customer satisfied?
  • Tell me about a time when you did not meet a client’s expectation. What happened, and how did you attempt to rectify the situation?
  • How will you handle the situation when you promise customer something but didn’t do it
  • When you’re working with a large number of customers, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. How do you go about prioritizing your customers’ needs?
  • Try to understand each customer’s main request
  • Tell me about the last time you had to apologize to someone.
  • Tell me about a recent situation in which you had to deal with a very upset customer or co-worker.

INVENT AND SIMPLIFY:

  • Tell me a time when you created an innovative product
  • Tell me a time you find a new way to do something

  • Tell me a challenge you had where the best way forward was not clear cut. How did you decide what to do?

THINK BIG:

  • Tell me about a time when you proposed a new business.
  • Tell me about your proudest professional achievement.
  • Tell me about a time when you went way beyond the scope of the project and delivered.
  • How will you exceed your boss expectation? any experience about that?
  • Describe a time when you delivered something above the client’s requirements
  • Talk about any contribution you did voluntarily

BIAS FOR ACTION:

  • Describe how you would handle a busy situation where three people are waiting for help from you.
  • Talk to each of them briefly and understand the situation, see if I can prioritize the tasks or done some tasks that can benefit more than one people first
  • How will you manage your time when you have many tasks at the same time?
  • Describe a time when you saw some problem and took the initiative to correct it rather than waiting for someone else to do it.
  • Tell me about a time when you took a calculated risk.
  • Tell me about a time when you did something without manager approval.
  • Tell me about a time when you had to deal with ambiguity
  • Tell me about a time you needed to get information from someone who wasn’t very responsive. What did you do?
  • Teammate not showing up and responding to messages, try to reach him out through several different methods, have things done right after classes where he definitely show up

FRUGALITY:

EARN TRUST:

  • Tell me a time when you earned trust of a group.
  • Would you tell on a employee for stealing?
  • If you saw someone steal a quarter. Would you report it?
  • What would you do if you found out that your closest friend at work was stealing?
  • Talk to him, try to understand why, see if I can help, persuade him to return the stolen stuff and let him know it should not happens again
  • Tell me about a time when you had to tell someone a harsh truth.

DIVE DEEP:
